Hong Kong- Tian Tan Buddha also known as "The Big Buddha"

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Day one plan was visiting the big Buddha. This is one of Hong Kong's popular attractions. It is a large bronze statue of a Sakyamuni Buddha completed in 1993.  It is located at the Ngong Ping Lantau Island in Hong Kong.

There are two ways to get to this place.
1. ride the cable car for 25 minutes.
2. Take the bus from Tai O Village (longer trip)

Rance and I took the cable car and it was such an amazing experience. Some of the cable cars have glass bottom in them but it was an extra charge. (about $30) compare to $18. Enjoy the photos and video below this post!
