HFM:day one details
Thursday, October 03, 2013
Okay, so you probably wondering, what is hawaii fashion month (HFM). Well, it's a full month of October events celebrating and promoting all of hawaii's fashion industry. This also allows local designers to feature the creativity of their designs and to get buyers to make them "big." When it comes to fashion, we automatically think its all about clothes, shoes, and accessories. Well, HFM is not all just about that. It also involves music, art, photographers, and education. The big picture is to promote hawaii as fashion shopping destination especially when it comes to resort wear, swimwear, and sportswear. I totally agree because after all this is paradise; an island that is full of style and beach life.
Outfit: Hawaii Designers Market
Located at Ward Center below TJ Max
There are two events held in this building for the public to see

October 3, 1-5pm

I attended my first event at the Outfit. It was pretty awesome! So here are the details of what I found interesting in the show
An array shades of Orange from light to dark! This room was so chic and a refreshing cool hangout spot while relaxing from the crowd. Although I think they reserved this room for VIP's, interviews of guest speakers, and so forth. A pop of orange is simply a statement in this room which is a perfect decor for fall!
Orange are just popping everywhere! This dress was design by a local designer Randy Leano. He is only in his 30's. A man full of talent! I love everything in his collection. I totally would rock this dress!
Another gorgeous gown from designer Randy Leano
A unique concept and design by Akihiko Izukura
These are all hand painted caps!
This bag feels like those croc shoes! A great example of an island life kinda bag. Beach day everyday!
Materials exclusively made in Italy with the tiniest and highest quality.
Bow swimwear. Awesome
Gorgeous jewelry designs. So bohemian chic!
I thought it was a T-shirt! And I was right. It is a recycled t-shirt made it into a bag! Super cool
I'm not sure what to say about this combo. What do you think? Despite the screaming red dress, The hawaiian print jacket is what caught my eye.
Luxurious Hawaiian shirts by Reyn Spooner. Hmmmm.. Thinking about Father's Day gift or fathers Christmas present.
Lastly, there are a whole lot of events this week including after parties, fashion shows, arts showcasing, music, and museums! Please check out www.hawaiifashionmonth.com for a full schedule! I wish I can attend to all these events but will definitely attending Ala Moana center red carpet fashion show! Stay tuned.
Hope you like it!
